Kern Studios’ River Boat Big Wheels Keep On Turning

Kern Studios’ River Boat Big Wheels Keep On Turning

The River Boat float is part of Kern Studios’ own float inventory. The classic Mississippi Riverboat was originally designed to participate in the 4th of July Parade in Philadelphia in the late nineties, but has rolled in a large number of parades since then.

The great thing about this float is that it can travel with ease because it consists of individual parts that can be assembled efficiently. And so the River Boat has traveled quite a bit!

This year alone, it appeared in the 6ABC Dunkin’ Donuts Thanksgiving Day Parade in Philadelphia and the Christmas Parade in Nashville. Coming back from Tennessee, it stopped briefly in New Orleans for the Allstate Sugar Bowl New Year’s Eve Parade, from where it moves onto Universal Studios Orlando.

There, it will roll for 45 consecutive days during the Universal Studios Mardi Gras Parade 2017, designed and build by Kern Studios for 20 years now. A fact that is quite unprecedented: no other Universal Studios ride, attraction of event has been around for that long.

Which proves exactly what the people of New Orleans have known for years; that everybody loves Mardi Gras and Mardi Gras Parades!
